We are seeking a motivated Assistant Viticulturist to join our team in a full-time, permanent role. An Assistant Viticulturist is involved in supporting the management of multiple vineyards, leading a team of supervisors and vineyard staff to deliver exceptional results for our clients. This is a varied, hands-on role combining technical viticulture, operational planning and leadership. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing all aspects of vineyard operations across multiple properties. Monitoring vine health, pests and diseases. Leading, coaching and supporting a team of vineyard supervisors. Managing staff to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Working collaboratively with the management team to continually improve business performance. What we are looking for: A tertiary qualification in Viticulture, Horticulture or a related field (preferred). Proven vineyard experience and leadership. Strong technical knowledge of vineyard operations and vine health. Excellent organisational and planning skills. Confidence using technology and learning new software systems. Strong communication and people leadership skills. A positive attitude, strong work ethic and good sense of humour. A commitment to health and safety. A full New Zealand Driver Licence. Location & Eligibility This is a full-time permanent position based in Cromwell. Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or resident.
