Job Description

Operations Assist with the day-to-day running of the pharmacy from opening to closing. Take a hands-on approach to ensure smooth pharmacy operations. Work a minimum of 40 hours per week as required. Be highly flexible with working hours, including availability for after-hours shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Participate in after-hours services, including deliveries when required. Provide high-quality customer and patient service. Build and maintain positive relationships with patients. Ensure patient enquiries and requests are handled efficiently and professionally. Information Technology Maintain a basic understanding of pharmacy computer systems, software, and printers. Asset & Equipment Management Monitor pharmacy equipment to ensure maintenance. Report and assist with arranging repairs to minimise service disruptions. Support pharmacy security procedures and identify areas for improvement. Ensure correct use of equipment to maintain efficiency and longevity. Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the pharmacy (inside and outside). Quality Assurance Ensure all work practices comply with pharmacy policies and procedures. Participate in operational checks and audits to maintain service quality. Support implementation of improvements where required. General Duties & Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with safe and accurate dispensing of medicines. Prepare, label, pack, and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision. Receive prescriptions, process orders, and follow up on outstanding items. Assist with compliance packing and medicine delivery services. Maintain stock levels and participate in regular stocktakes. Ensure correct storage of medicines, including fridge temperature monitoring. Operate pharmacy equipment safely and effectively. Keep dispensary and work areas clean, organised, and tidy. Be punctual and reliable, working rostered hours as required. Prioritise tasks and maintain high-quality work standards. Promote a positive workplace culture and professional communication. Use business resources responsibly and efficiently. Follow all lawful and reasonable instructions from management. Comply with all employment, health, and safety requirements. Demonstrate strong commitment to health and safety practices. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Professional presentation and respectful team behaviour. Experience with Toniq dispensary software is compulsory NZ Fully qualified Pharmacy technician Must be highly flexible and available to work rostered shifts, including after-hours, weekends, public holidays, and urgent after-hours delivery duties.
