Intermediate Structural Engineer (3+ Years' Experience)

Clendon Burns and Park Ltd – Wellington Central, North Island As part of a highly regarded engineering team, you will work on a diverse range of projects throughout New Zealand. Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities may include structural analysis and design of residential, commercial, education and industrial buildings, preparing engineering calculations, reports and construction documentation, coordinating with architects, contractors and other consultants, conducting site inspections and providing construction support, managing projects from concept through to completion, reviewing engineering designs and maintaining high technical standards, and mentoring graduate and intermediate engineers (for Senior Engineers). Key responsibilities Structural analysis and design of residential, commercial, education and industrial buildings Preparing engineering calculations, reports and construction documentation Coordinating with architects, contractors and other consultants Conducting site inspections and providing construction support Managing projects from concept through to completion Reviewing engineering designs and maintaining CBP's high technical standards Mentoring graduate and intermediate engineers (Senior Engineers) Building and maintaining strong client relationships About you Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural) or equivalent qualification Experience in a structural engineering consultancy (graduates through to senior engineers are encouraged to apply) Knowledge of New Zealand structural design principles, standards and the Building Code Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality engineering solutions A collaborative attitude and a desire to continually learn and develop For Senior Engineer applicants: at least 5 years' experience in a structural engineering consultancy For Senior Engineer applicants: extensive experience designing New Zealand residential and commercial structures For Senior Engineer applicants: current CPEng registration or be working towards achieving it For Senior Engineer applicants: experience leading projects, managing client relationships and mentoring junior engineers About us Clendon Burns & Park (CBP) has been delivering innovative structural engineering solutions across New Zealand for decades.
