If you’re looking to grow your career in property finance and work with a strong portfolio of property sector clients, this opportunity offers the chance to step into a highly visible and commercially impactful role. You’ll develop and manage a portfolio of mid-sized Institutional Property clients, but also support the Client Director with their portfolio of high-value clients. You’ll lead high-quality credit submissions, supporting deal execution, as well as identify new business and referral opportunities, contributing to the ongoing growth and performance of the portfolio. What are the key day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Lead credit submissions for complex property-related transactions, ensuring a high-quality, consistent approach to financial analysis, risk assessment and debt structuring. Lead the implementation and oversight of deal execution relating to the delivery of credit facilities to Institutional Property customers. Identify new business and referral opportunities, using internal and external networks to support the achievement of income targets. Build strong sector knowledge and maintain professional relationships across BNZ, customers and market networks. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, valuers, legal advisers, internal product partners, and broader market networks across the institutional property sector. What attributes will this person have in order to be successful? We’re looking for someone who is commercially curious, relationship-led and comfortable operating with a high level of accountability. This role will have a strong focus on Institutional Property clients, so you’ll demonstrate confidence in assessing complex property transactions, understanding sector trends, and structuring tailored banking solutions that support long-term client outcomes. You will bring: Extensive experience within Property Finance, Corporate Banking, Institutional Banking, finance or a related field, along with a sound understanding of accounting, legal and tax considerations. Strong communication and presentation skills, sound judgement is essential, as well as the ability to coach, support and develop others. Confident working through complex credit issues, structing and negotiating sophisticated transactions, while managing competing priorities and influencing senior stakeholders across the business. A tertiary qualification in banking, finance, accounting, commerce, law or a related discipline is required. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
