ProBuild ITM is looking for a Commercial Pricing Manager to join our team for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. This role has been created to lead a significant pricing transformation project, with the opportunity to redesign how we price products, customers and market segments across the business. There is potential for the role to be extended as we continue to invest in our commercial pricing capability. Working alongside our senior leadership team, you'll have genuine influence over one of the business's most important commercial levers, pricing. From rebuilding our customer pricing matrix and developing trade-specific pricing strategies, to improving pricing governance, competitor benchmarking and commercial reporting, you'll help create a pricing framework that supports profitable growth while delivering value to our customers. Build pricing models based on customer spend, loyalty, payment history, profitability and strategic importance. Key Responsibilities Pricing Strategy & Transformation Lead the redesign and optimisation of ProBuild ITM's customer pricing framework. Develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness, customer value and profitability. Build pricing models based on customer spend, loyalty, payment history, profitability and strategic importance. Category & Customer Analysis Develop trade-specific pricing strategies across key customer segments, including builders, landscapers, plasterers/stoppers, rural customers and other specialist trades. Analyse product categories to ensure discounts align with customer buying behaviour and commercial objectives. Monitor market rates, trends and industry activity to identify opportunities and risks. Commercial Performance Conduct detailed margin and profitability analysis to support pricing decisions. Review pricing overrides and identify opportunities to improve pricing governance and pricing discipline. Analyse customer profitability and recommend improvements to maximise long‑term commercial performance. Support tenders, major quotations and strategic pricing decisions. Reporting & Insights Develop dashboards and reporting to monitor pricing performance, gross margin, overrides, customer profitability and pricing compliance. Prepare pricing forecasts, commercial analysis and recommendations for senior leadership. Identify trends, risks and opportunities using data and communicate practical recommendations. Collaboration Reporting directly to the GM of Operations you will work closely with Sales, Operations, Inventory and Finance to ensure pricing decisions align with business objectives. Support supplier cost changes and ensure pricing systems remain accurate and up to date. Help embed a consistent commercial pricing culture across the business. What we're looking for Proven experience in commercial pricing, financial analysis, or a related accounting/analysis role within a similar commercial environment Strong proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and Excel spreadsheet management Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, margin analysis, and pricing methodologies Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data Strong commercial awareness and ability to understand market dynamics and competitive positioning Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills Proficiency with accounting software and business intelligence tools (experience with relevant systems is advantageous) Qualification in accounting, finance, or business is desirable Experience in the construction, building materials, or related commercial sector would be essential What we offer ProBuild ITM provides a supportive and professional working environment where your contributions are valued and recognised.
