Manufacturing and Milling Operator

Roading and Building Recruitment – Wigram, South Island THE GIG: RB Recruitment is looking for a Manufacturing and Milling Operator to join their team in the development of rubber products. Training will be provided on the job for the right candidate on how to operate the mill and working in the rubber manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll work alongside the Factory Manager in a small knit team to meet production targets, receive and process raw materials, mix rubber compounds to product specifications, operate a rubber mixing mill, and carry out quality control testing while recording production data. This role is relatively physical and requires forms of manual labour when operating the mill and transporting products around the factory. You must be fit and healthy to succeed in the role with the ability to lift 5-15kg regularly across the day. Basic computer skills and the ability to handle technical work are ideal, although full training will be provided on all equipment and manufacturing processes. Hours will be consistent with 5 days of work guaranteed. 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday with a starting rate of $28-30 depending on previous experience and technical knowledge. YOU WLL BE SUCCESSFUL IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING: Restricted of Full Drivers License with access to your own vehicle Have a high attention to detail and confident with numbers Physically fit and a willingness to labour, comfortable lifting 5-15kg loads regularly Willingness to learn Have a current and valid NZ work visa or NZ residency.
