Job Description
McKechnie Aluminium is New Zealand's leading, fully integrated Aluminium Extrusion, Finishing and Fabrication specialist. We believe in delivering a quality product to our customers. Our way of thinking is one of trust, safety and wellbeing. We’re looking for an all-rounder to join our Business Systems team for a 6-month fixed-term role. We already have a great team in place and a busy systems project gearing up for go-live. What we need is someone who can jump in, bring hands‑on implementation experience, and provide some extra bandwidth as we move through final testing, training, communications, and go‑live activities. This is a practical role for someone who enjoys getting things done, creating structure where needed, and helping projects stay on track. What you’ll be working on Supporting a business system implementation project and team with the following: Working with users to validate that new processes and systems meet business requirements Developing test plans, test scripts, templates, and documentation Coordinating testing and helping teams prepare for go‑live Recording, tracking, and following up testing issues through to resolution Developing training materials, templates, and documentation Assisting with project communications and stakeholder engagement Helping tracking actions, risks, issues, and project deliverables Supporting change activities and user adoption What we’re looking for Experience working on software or business system implementations Exposure to business process testing, user acceptance testing, or system rollout activities Strong organisational and coordination skills Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business Excellent communication and documentation skills A proactive, can‑do attitude and willingness to get stuck in Manufacturing or operational systems experience is an advantage but not essential This is a great opportunity to work with an experienced team on a significant business transformation project.
