Job Description

Category Coordinator Full-time | Ashburton Head Office Make the most from your land – and your career Wholesale Seeds Limited is proudly New Zealand-owned, working alongside pastoral farmers across the South Island and a growing footprint in the North. Through Catalyst Performance Agronomy™, we help farmers get extraordinary outcomes from their land, corner-to-corner, paddock-to-paddock – and that starts with getting the detail right behind the scenes. We're looking for a Category Coordinator – Fertiliser to join our team in Ashburton. This is a broad, hands‑on role at the centre of our fertiliser category – covering pricing, procurement, inventory, and sales support. If you're the type who's happiest when the numbers add up and the process runs clean, this one's for you. What you'll be doing Pricing – keeping the reps' pricelist accurate and current, calculating blend costs, and tracking competitor pricing. Procurement – raising purchase orders, managing supplier records and contracts, and staying on top of delivery schedules. Inventory – monitoring stock across depot and 3PL sites, reconciling NetSuite against site dockets, and coordinating the annual stocktake. Order management – processing fertiliser sales orders end-to-end and keeping reps and customers in the loop. Reporting – producing inventory, margin, and sales reports, and keeping data clean across NetSuite, Celero, and SharePoint. You’ll work closely with the Category Managers and the wider sales and operations team, with genuine exposure to commercial decision‑making and a clear runway to grow within the category. What you’ll bring Experience in inventory, operations, or commercial administration – agribusiness experience is a bonus, not a requirement. A head for numbers – you’re comfortable with pricing calculations, cost models, and inventory data. Advanced Excel skills, and confidence with Outlook and SharePoint. ERP experience (NetSuite preferred). The ability to juggle competing priorities without letting accuracy slip. Clear, professional written communication. Honesty and discretion – you’ll be trusted with commercially sensitive information. A relevant qualification in business administration, commerce, or supply chain is an advantage, but the right attitude counts for more. Why Us You’ll be part of a team that backs farmers to get the most from their land – and backs its people the same way. Based at our Ashburton head office, you’ll have real ownership of a category that matters, room to grow, and a team that works hard without losing sight of what’s practical. #J-18808-Ljbffr
