At Manzis Build, we specialise in renovations, alterations and project delivery across Hawke's Bay, while also delivering a diverse range of projects including community-led initiatives, ACC work, residential new builds and light commercial construction. As a Qualified / Lead Builder, you'll work alongside our site leadership team, leading projects where appropriate while also supporting other projects when required. You'll work closely with our Project Manager and Pre-Construction Manager, so you can focus on delivering the build while having experienced support behind you from planning through to completion. We're growing steadily and are looking for someone who wants to grow with us. Our work is primarily based throughout Hastings and Napier, with the occasional out-of-town project that is planned well in advance and fully supported by our management team. What we're looking for Qualified Carpenter (LBP preferred but not essential) Proven experience leading residential projects Confident making decisions and working independently Able to coordinate subcontractors and keep projects moving Strong communication and practical problem-solving skills - both written and verbal High attention to detail and a consistently high standard of workmanship Comfortable regularly using digital tools and site management apps Committed to Health & Safety Own basic hand tools Full New Zealand driver's licence What you'll receive Full-time, permanent role Company vehicle and phone Consistent work year-round A broad mix of projects in residential and commercial A close-knit team that backs each other and enjoys the mahi Opportunities to grow your responsibilities as the business grows Support from our dedicated office team so that you won't be left to figure everything out on your own Due to the nature of some of our projects, the successful applicant will be required to complete an MOJ check as part of our pre-employment process.
