Operations Manager

Alliance Services - Wellington Central, North Island Operations Manager - Traffic Management Alliance Services is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Traffic Management operations in the Wellington region. This is a leadership position for someone who understands that successful traffic management is built on safe people, strong planning, exceptional client relationships and disciplined operational execution. You will be responsible for leading multiple crews, supporting Branch Management, developing supervisors, maintaining compliance and ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently and profitably. The Role Leading and developing Supervisors, STMSs and Traffic Management crews. Managing the planning, allocation and performance of operational resources. Building strong relationships with clients, contractors, councils and key stakeholders. Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with approved TMPs, NZGTTM requirements, company procedures and Health & Safety legislation. Monitoring operational performance, productivity and profitability across multiple projects. Investigating incidents, implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement. Reviewing operational reports, KPIs, audits and compliance documentation. Supporting recruitment, coaching, performance management and succession planning. Working closely with Management to achieve operational and financial targets. Promoting a culture where safety, accountability, quality and customer service are non-negotiable. What You'll Bring Extensive Traffic Management experience in New Zealand. Demonstrated experience leading multiple operational teams. Strong understanding of NZGTTM, Health & Safety at Work Act requirements and industry best practice. Proven ability to manage client expectations while maintaining operational compliance. Experience managing budgets, productivity and operational performance. Excellent leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills. Strong organizational and planning ability. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure environments. Current Full NZ Driver Licence (Class 2 advantageous).
