Family Support Worker

Pou Whakaaro is an innovative, entrepreneurial organisation which sits at the cutting edge of values-based mental illness and disability services. We are seeking a Family Support Worker who is willing to go above and beyond and have fun whilst supporting families who has a loved one with an experience of mental illness and/or addiction. The successful applicant will possess Person focused approach and commitment to enhancing people’s strengths Enthusiastic, empathetic attitude Exemplary professional judgement Excellent relationship building, communication, computer and report writing skills Flexibility, working in a variety of settings Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team The role is 37.5 hours per week. The applicant should have/be: Be able to work independently and as part of a supportive team Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Client Management Systems would be an advantage Excellent written and oral communication An understanding of Te Reo and tikanga A Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Mental Health & Addiction Support) or equivalent is required or be willing to complete a health qualification A current and clean full driver license and have legal entitlement to work in NZ.
