Mechanical Service Technician

Bayteck Systems is looking for an experienced Mechanical Service Technician to join our team in Mount Maunganui. With 30 years’ experience behind us, Bayteck specialises in design, installation, maintenance and repair of air compressors and pneumatic equipment across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato. We are a subsidiary of Page Macrae Engineering, one of NZ’s leading engineering companies. About the role This is a full time role, responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing industrial air compressors and pneumatic equipment. This role involves both in-workshop and on-site field service work across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato, supporting a wide range of clients across industrial sectors. You will work both autonomously and as part of a team to ensure equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and deliver excellent customer service. What we’re looking for You will be trade qualified, experienced and skilled in mechanical work and have strong diagnostic abilities. We are flexible regarding specific mechanical experience, for example diesel or small engine mechanics would be suitable for this role, among others. The key is having mechanical aptitude and ability to work on compressed air and pneumatic equipment. We offer a 24/7 breakdown service, so it’s important that you are able to work after hours and weekends as required. Strong working relationships are fundamental to success in this role, so you will need to be confident in building rapport with customers, while remaining professional. You’ll join a small, friendly and dedicated team at the Mount, and have use of a company van to travel to and from work. You must have current NZ work rights #J-18808-Ljbffr
