We’re seeking a reliable and skilled professional to support our team in delivering high quality reticulation works in a fast paced environment. As a Leading Hand, you will play a key role in supervising site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity while providing hands-on support across daily operations. Key Responsibilities Lead and support teams on reticulation and civil construction projects Oversee daily site activities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard Operate and monitor relevant tools, plant, and equipment Maintain strong communication with supervisors, contractors, and team members Ensure compliance with all Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) systems and procedures Assist with training, upskilling, and supporting team capability About You You’ll bring a strong background in reticulation or relevant civil works, with the leadership ability to guide and motivate a team. You take pride in quality workmanship, communicate clearly, and thrive in a contracting environment. Minimum 3 Years’ Experience In Reticulation Works Or Similar Experience in civil construction Strong familiarity with tools, plant, materials, and equipment used in reticulation Strong verbal and written English skills Commitment to HS&E standards, incident reporting, and proper PPE use Physically fit, with the ability to walk, bend, and lift heavy items Valid Class 2 driver’s licence + WTR and experience driving in varied road and weather conditions Welding Qualifications About Ventia As a leading services provider, we maintain, operate, and manage the essential infrastructure that makes modern life possible across Australia and New Zealand.
