Expressions of Interest - Southern REAP Board Member Position About Southern REAP Southern REAP is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to strengthening rural communities through accessible education, lifelong learning, inclusion and community-based services. We work alongside local communities to support learning opportunities, foster resilience, and promote sustainable development across the Southern region. The Opportunity We are inviting expressions of interest from individuals who are enthusiastic about making a positive impact in rural communities and who can contribute to the strategic governance of our organisation. Board Member Responsibilities Provide governance, oversight, and strategic direction Support the organisation’s mission and long-term vision Contribute to decision‑making and policy development Act as an ambassador for Southern REAP within the community Participate in six weekly regular Board meetings and occasional events. (Honorarium is paid) Skills and Experience Governance or board experience Education or community development Finance, accounting, or legal expertise Knowledge of rural communities and their needs Most importantly, we are looking for individuals who bring enthusiasm, integrity, and a commitment to community service.
