Shape what's next. We're looking for an experienced operational leader to join Veterinaryfirst Limited (VFL) as our first Practice Operations Manager for our Queenstown and Wānaka clinics. This is a newly created leadership role and an exciting opportunity to influence how two veterinary clinics operate while making a genuine difference to our people, our customers and the communities we support. You'll work alongside our clinic team to drive operational excellence, strengthen customer experience, support business growth and create an environment where our teams can do their best work. Best of all, you'll get to do it while living in one of New Zealand's most spectacular locations. About the role This is a diverse leadership role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for the overall operational, commercial and people performance of our Queenstown and Wānaka clinics, ensuring they continue to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers while achieving strong business outcomes. You'll be responsible for: Building a positive team culture where people feel supported, capable and proud of the work they do. Leading the operational performance of our Queenstown and Wānaka clinics. Driving commercial performance, budgeting and business planning. Creating exceptional customer experiences and improving customer loyalty. Leading operational improvement initiatives and implementing new ways of working. Championing Health & Safety and creating environments where our people can do their best work safely every day. Working collaboratively with our clinical leaders and support teams to deliver outstanding outcomes for our customers, their animals and our people. About you You don't need veterinary experience. We're interested in an experienced operational leader who know how to bring people together, improve businesses and deliver outstanding customer experiences. You might come from healthcare, retail, hospitality, tourism, professional services or another customer-focused industry. You’ll bring: Experience leading people and business operations. Strong commercial and financial acumen. The ability to coach, influence and develop others. Experience leading change and driving continuous improvement. A customer-first mindset.
