Geotechnical Engineers & Engineering Geologists Intermediate Senior Principal Opportunities Tauranga | Bay of Plenty Looking for your next challenge in geotechnical consulting? We're working with a highly regarded multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that continues to grow across the Bay of Plenty and wider North Island. Due to an expanding project pipeline, we're looking to speak with Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists across a range of experience levels. Whether you're an Intermediate Engineer ready to build your technical capability or an experienced Senior or Principal looking to lead projects and mentor others, we'd like to hear from you. Opportunities Available We are interested in speaking with: Intermediate Geotechnical Engineers (approximately 3-5 years' NZ consulting experience) Senior Geotechnical Engineers Principal Geotechnical Engineers Circa $160K Engineering Geologists TCC Category 1 or Category 2 Geo-Professionals $160K+ The Work You'll become part of an experienced multidisciplinary team delivering projects throughout the Bay of Plenty and across New Zealand. The work is varied, technically challenging and offers genuine ownership from investigation through to construction. Projects include: Residential and commercial developments Land development Transport and roading infrastructure Coastal and resilience projects Local government and infrastructure programmes Ground improvement and slope stability Retaining structures Foundation investigations and design Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include: Planning and undertaking geotechnical investigations Soil and rock logging Geotechnical analysis and reporting Foundation, earthworks and slope stability assessments Construction monitoring Technical design and peer review Project management Client relationship management Mentoring junior engineers and engineering geologists Business development and technical leadership About You You’ll ideally have: A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or Engineering Geology qualification New Zealand consulting experience in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology Strong technical report writing skills Experience with site investigations and construction monitoring Excellent communication and client relationship skills A collaborative approach and strong problem-solving ability A current New Zealand driver's licence Permanent New Zealand working rights For senior appointments, we're particularly interested in professionals with leadership capability, strong client networks and, ideally, TCC Category 1 or 2 Geo-Professional accreditation.
