Reporting directly to the Principal, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations, providing administrative support, managing communications and helping create a welcoming and supportive environment for students. This is a diverse role that combines reception and administration, student support, communications, marketing and database management. You'll be the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors and stakeholders, while also ensuring their digital presence and communications remain engaging, professional and up to date. Working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, you'll enjoy being part of a close-knit team committed to fostering a caring, inclusive and supportive student community. Key Responsibilities include: Manage the reception desk and provide a warm, professional welcome to residents and visitors Process accommodation applications, contracts and resident records accurately and efficiently Maintain and update the Hall website using Wix, ensuring content remains current and engaging Support communications across Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram platforms Maintain databases, digital filing systems and resident documentation Provide administrative support to the Principal and wider leadership team as required You will: Have previous experience in an administration or office coordination role Be confident using Microsoft Office and managing databases and electronic records Be warm, approachable and genuinely enjoy working with young people Have experience with Canva, social media management or marketing activities (advantageous) Be comfortable working within a small team where flexibility and collaboration are highly valued Demonstrate empathy, maturity and sound judgement when supporting students Benefits: Competitive Salary + Onsite Parking + Free Lunch Annual salary review Free on-site parking Complimentary lunch provided daily Access to Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services Supportive and welcoming team culture Opportunity to work in a meaningful role supporting student success and wellbeing About the Company: Our client is a well establish residential accommodation provider affiliated with the University of Canterbury, providing first-year students with a supportive environment where they can thrive.
