Senior Project Manager - Contract

Platinum Recruitment – Dunedin, South Island Are you an experienced Project Manager with a knack for getting things done, especially in complex, data-heavy environments? We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to lead the Warehouse Management System (WMS) stream for a major warehouse automation modernisation project. This role is crucial for managing the software build, overseeing integrations between existing ERP and the new WMS, and ensuring a successful go. You'll be working with multiple vendors, in a fast-paced environment where your ability to work independently and effectively manage stakeholders will be key. About the role: You will be responsible for Project Management of this critical component of the warehouse automation modernisation project. This includes running software builds, managing extensive data integrations, and providing hardware specifications. You will work closely with key stakeholders while independently managing relationships with vendors. The project is well-structured with thorough solution architecture already in place, offering a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to deliver a functional and integrated automated Dynamics WMS. Lead a high-impact, $100+ million modernisation project. Autonomy to manage complex vendor relationships and integrations. Opportunity to work on a strategically important project with clear objectives. Collaborate with a diverse team and key industry partners. Gain extensive experience in cloud enterprise systems and WMS implementation. Potential for contract extension beyond the initial 6-month period. About you: We are looking for a proactive and independent Project Manager who thrives in challenging environments. You should be able to leverage your experience to drive results, manage complex projects with multiple vendors, and ensure timely delivery without constant supervision. Skills and Experience: Proven experience managing complex projects with multiple vendors and integrations. Strong background in cloud enterprise systems, particularly WMS. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics WMS is highly beneficial. Ability to work independently and effectively manage stakeholders. Experience with solution architecture and design requirements. Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) is helpful but not essential. Available to start ASAP. Applicants must have a valid work visa, permanent residency or NZ citizenship to be considered.
