Plumber' Assistant

Seeking motivated Plumber’s Assistants ($26–$28/hr) with 1–2 years of trade experience. About the Role We are seeking motivated and reliable Plumber’s Assistants to join our team in Wellington Region. This role offers excellent opportunities to gain hands‑on experience across residential, commercial, and maintenance plumbing projects. Working closely with our qualified tradespeople, you will play a crucial role in ensuring jobs are completed efficiently while developing your practical skills in the plumbing industry. What You’ll Be Doing Assists Plumbers in fabricating, laying, installing and maintaining pipes, fixtures, water meters and regulators Assists in measuring, cutting and fitting pipes and fixtures, and holds pipes in place while Plumber’s weld or solder joints Assists in installing and repairing plumbing fixtures such as toilets, sinks and taps Adhering to all health and safety guidelines to maintain a secure work environment Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workplace, including cleaning up tools and debris Transporting equipment and managing plumbing materials on-site Learning to read blueprints and technical drawings under supervision What We’re Looking For Minimum 1 yearof relevant experience as a Plumber's Assistant or or relevant Level 4 qualification. Strong physical fitness and the ability to handle manual labor and lifting High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic A keen willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within the trade Excellent teamwork and communication skills Basic knowledge of plumbing tools and safety practices is preferred Weekly pay Competitive hourly rate ($26–$28 per hour depending on experience) Minimum of 30 hours guaranteed per week (permanent full-time), Maximum of 60 hours.
