Commercial Manager

ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading civil engineering contractor in Wellington. This company specializes in complex projects and is preparing for a major infrastructure development in the region. About the Role You will lead the commercial function, driving financial performance and strategic growth. Responsibilities Developing and executing commercial strategies to support business objectives. Identifying new opportunities to expand revenue streams. Managing contracts, negotiations, and supplier relationships. Overseeing budgets, forecasts, and commercial reporting. Ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements. Leading and mentoring the commercial team. Requirements 10+ years of experience in civil construction. Strong leadership and team management skills. Background in Quantity Surveying and cost management. Experience with various contract types and fiscal project management (subcontractor management, claims, variations, progress reporting). Ideally, experience with JDE systems. Benefits Competitive salary: $200K-$250K (negotiable based on experience). Full-time role with strong career growth opportunities.
