About the Role As a Multi-Skilled Civil Plant Operator, you'll be responsible for safely operating a variety of civil construction machinery while supporting crews to deliver projects efficiently and to a high standard. Projects may include: Roading and highway construction Subdivision developments Bulk earthworks Drainage and utilities Infrastructure upgrades Commercial and residential civil works Key Responsibilities Operate a variety of civil plant and machinery safely and efficiently. Complete excavation, trenching, backfilling and site preparation. Carry out bulk earthworks and final trim work where required. Load trucks and manage material movement around site. Perform pre-start checks and daily machine inspections. Identify and report maintenance requirements or faults. Work around underground services and utilities safely. Read and interpret site plans and instructions. Work alongside ground crews and other contractors. Maintain a clean, safe and productive work environment. Follow all Health & Safety policies and site-specific procedures. Assist with labouring duties when required. Machinery Experience (One or More) We are looking for operators experienced with several of the following: Excavators (1.7T–35T+) Loaders Rollers Bulldozers Motor Graders Moxy / Articulated Dump Trucks (ADT) Skid Steers Water Carts Compactors Telehandlers (advantage) What We're Looking For Essential Minimum 2 years' experience operating civil construction machinery. Proven ability to operate multiple types of plant. Full Class 1 Driver Licence. WTR Endorsements (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers). Strong understanding of civil construction and earthworks. Ability to work independently and within a team. Good communication skills. Reliable, punctual and safety-focused. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Physically fit and willing to assist the crew when required. Highly Desirable Class 2, 4 or 5 Licence. Site Safe Passport. Confined Space or Working at Heights. First Aid Certificate. Experience with GPS machine control (Trimble, Topcon or Leica). Final Trim experience. Drainage experience. Civil infrastructure experience.
