Dentalis Group (NZ) Ltd – Whakatane, North Island A skilled and dedicated " Clinical" Dental Technician is sought by Dentalis Group (NZ) Ltd. A full time role based in the Bay of Plenty cities of Tauranga and Whakatane, Please note we are seeking a Clinically qualified person -able to prescribe patients, take impressions (digital or mould), and fit dental prothrtics. We use deliver high-quality dental prosthetics and restorations to our patients. As a Clinical Dental Technician, you will bridge the gap between clinical dentistry and laboratory technology, This position is will allow us to continue our commitment in providing comprehensive denture solutions and maintaining the very good reputation we have squired over the years within the Bay of Plenty region. Key responsibilities Conduct patient consultations to discuss prosthetic options, materials and expected outcomes Fabricate and construct high-quality dental prosthetics, including dentures, crowns, bridges and other restorations according to clinical specifications and treatment plans Perform clinical adjustments and try-ins of prosthetic appliances to ensure optimal fit, comfort and functionality for patients Maintain detailed and accurate records of all prosthetic work and patient interactions Utilise both traditional and digital laboratory techniques to create dental restorations Ensure all work complies with relevant dental regulations, infection control protocols and health and safety standards Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and technology to ensure consistent quality output Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques through continuous professional development Manage inventory of materials and supplies, ordering as required. What we're looking for Recognised qualification in Clinical Dental Technology or equivalent (New Zealand-based qualification or recognised international equivalent) Current registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand as a Clinical Dental Technician Proficiency in both traditional and digital laboratory techniques, including CAD/CAM technology where applicable Strong knowledge of dental materials, including ceramics, acrylics, metals and composite resins Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing work of exceptional quality Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with dentists and patients Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team Commitment to maintaining infection control standards and health and safety compliance Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing clinical requirements Professional approach to patient confidentiality and data protection.
