You'll be involved in the full project journey - concept, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover - working alongside experienced engineers, sustainability specialists and industry-leading customers. What You'll Be Doing Design and deliver process systems supporting leading manufacturing and food processing facilities Develop engineering documentation - process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment specifications, heat and mass balances, and functional control descriptions Design and integrate utility and services systems, including steam, heating, cooling, water, gas, chemical and wastewater systems Collaborate with project managers, CAD designers, automation specialists, contractors, consultants, suppliers and customers Identify sustainability opportunities through energy efficiency, heat recovery and resource optimisation Support pre-commissioning and commissioning, troubleshooting technical challenges to ensure projects perform as intended Build strong customer and supplier relationships to deliver exceptional outcomes Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes What We're Looking For A degree or diploma in Mechanical, Process, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline Experience in process, mechanical, hygienic system design, utilities or industrial services engineering - ideally in food, beverage, dairy or related process industries Sound knowledge of PFDs, heat and mass balances, P&IDs, equipment specifications and functional control narratives Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to support commissioning and troubleshoot on-site Confident written and verbal communication with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal teams A customer-focused, safety-conscious and professional approach Flexibility to travel and work on customer sites nationwide, including assignments of up to four months where required Why You'll Love This Role Make an impact - see your designs built, commissioned and running in real production environments Grow faster - gain exposure to the full project lifecycle across diverse industries and technologies Work with purpose - help customers boost efficiency and cut environmental impact Get off the desk - travel to project sites and be part of major installations coming to life Learn from the best - work alongside experienced engineers and specialists who love developing talent What's In It for You Competitive remuneration based on experience Southern Cross Medical insurance Employee assistance programme Health and wellbeing initiatives Birthday and Company Day off Free car parking Exposure to complementary technologies - Liquid Process, Membranes, Evaporation, Drying and Powder Handling Genuine career growth in a multinational company Our Values At GEA, we stand for Responsibility, Integrity, Diversity, Passion and Excellence.
