About the Role This is an exciting new position here at Wairarapa Hospital for a Registered Nurse - Special Interest General Surgery. This position provides advanced nursing assessment, coordination and clinical expertise for patients receiving General Surgery outpatient care. You will be working collaboratively with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team, the role leads nurse‑led surveillance and follow‑up pathways, coordinates investigations and ongoing monitoring, provides expert patient education, supports service improvement and contributes to the development of innovative nurse‑led models of care. This is a permanent full‑time position working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0FTE) Monday to Friday, actual hours of work to be discussed. About the Location Learn more about living in the Wairarapa region click here Wairarapa About you Registration with Te Kaunihera Tapuhi o Aotearoa - Nursing Council of New Zealand A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and scope appropriate to area of work Demonstrated clinical experience in working with General Surgery. Demonstrated teaching skills. Proven ability to support nursing staff at all levels of practice.
