Opportunities are available to join the Food and Beverage team at Hobbiton which operate on a 4 on 2 off working roster, weekends inclusive. You will be one of the many faces our visitors encounter while on their journey of Hobbiton, the willingness to go the extra mile is essential to ensure they have a memorable and authentic experience. This position is responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of The Shire's Rest Cafe or The Green Dragon Front of House team, including the Marquee, Green Dragon FOH, the Mill, Functions, Events and Cafe. This includes: Day to day management of The Shires Rest Cafe and/or Green Dragon FOH staff, working in a hands-on and mentor capacity. Being the first line of support in the performance management of staff and report any issues to The Shire's Rest and/or Green Dragon Coordinator and the Food and Beverage Manager. Completing all opening and closing/administrative tasks as required. Keeping up-to-date records of SOP's, cleaning schedules, maintenance records, stocktakes and inventory lists. The skills you will need are: Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (essential) Enthusiasm and a friendly smile ( critical ) Ability to work hard and to think on your feet (again, critical ) Ability to lead a team; communicate, solve problems, delegate tasks and motivate your team members (advantageous) Reliable transport (as we are slightly off the beaten track) We also provide further learning and development opportunities and daily catered lunches cooked by our amazing chefs. This position is for Permanent Full Time Employment and includes day, evening and weekend shifts in accordance with a roster, with a minimum of 30 hours per week in the Non-Peak season and a minimum of 35 hours in the Peak season, with a 4 days on 2 days off rolling roster.
