What You’ll Be Doing This is a service-focused role covering preventative maintenance, breakdown diagnostics, repairs, and urgent callouts across a range of HVAC systems, including VRV/VRF systems, chillers, air handling units, and commercial heat pumps. You’ll be working with commercial clients across the Christchurch region and surrounding areas, delivering reliable, high‑quality service while managing day‑to‑day requirements in the field. There will also be opportunities to support system upgrades, plant replacements, commissioning, and improvement projects across a variety of sites. The role offers strong variety, a good level of autonomy, and support from an experienced, down‑to‑earth HVAC service team. What the Role Involves HVAC servicing, maintenance, and fault‑finding in an industrial setting Planned maintenance and breakdown response Mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs Supporting upgrades, plant replacements, and commissioning works Working closely with an experienced on‑site service team Completing job documentation and reporting in Simpro Participating in the after‑hours on‑call roster What We’re Looking For Trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration and/or at least 3+ years’ practical HVAC experience Current EWRB registration and practising licence as an Electrical Service Technician (EST) Refrigerant Fillers Licence or willingness to obtain Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills Physically fit and comfortable working in an industrial environment A solid understanding of Health & Safety and safe work practices What’s In It For You We back our technicians with the tools, support, and opportunities to do their best work.
