Build genuine connections. Be the reason someone smiles today. About the role Lead a meaningful activities programme that supports residents' wellbeing, independence, and connection. You'll work closely with the Facility Manager, care team, residents, and families. Ideally, you'll have experience as an Activity Coordinator or a relevant qualification, with the opportunity for training and support to become a qualified Diversional Therapist. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging group and one-to-one activities Adapt programmes to residents’ abilities, interests, and needs Encourage participation and social connection Support outings, events, and community involvement Maintain simple activity records and documentation Skills & Experience Experience working with older people in aged care, activities, recreation, or community services A genuine passion for supporting and caring for elderly people, with a person-centred approach A creative, positive, and compassionate attitude Strong communication and relationship-building skills The ability to work independently, use initiative, and stay motivated Diversional Therapy qualification or experience (an advantage) NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa – Essential Benefits At Alden, you'll enjoy a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference in the lives of elderly residents in your community.
