Certified Laboratory Supervisor Firth Industries Auckland Description At Firth, we’re looking for a thoughtful and organised Certified Laboratory Supervisor to support our Auckland and Waikato operations. You’ll play a key role in coordinating technicians, creating clarity in planning, and ensuring consistent, high-quality testing outcomes—while fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment. Key responsibilities Coordinate and schedule testing activities in line with NZS standards Support and guide technicians to ensure balanced workloads and clear communication Build strong working relationships with operations, engineers, and customers Ensure test results are accurate, captured, and reported within required timeframes Oversee equipment calibration, servicing, and compliance requirements Champion a safe, inclusive, and environmentally responsible culture Support the development and growth of technicians across the region About you You’re someone who enjoys bringing structure to a busy environment and supporting others to succeed. You build trust through clear communication, fairness, and consistency. You will bring: Experience in concrete testing (ideally 5+ years) Strong understanding of relevant NZ testing standards Confidence in planning, scheduling, and coordinating work across teams A collaborative, people-focused approach Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes Good systems and computer literacy NZQA or BCITO qualifications in concrete testing or production are advantageous.
