As the National Manager – Procurement and Commercial, you will be responsible for leading the procurement and supplier management function and strategy for New Zealand Blood Service ensuring the delivery of optimal commercial, operational and strategic outcomes across a diverse portfolio of goods and services. The role will support greater transparency and governance on procurement and supplier management and ensure it meets the requirements set for the organisation as a Crown Entity but is also right-sized - where the business has real ownership of their procurement activity. What You’ll Bring Procurement experience in a complex environment Experience leading a team Strong commercial contracting and negotiation expertise Experience in a highly regulated industry environment Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills Experience of previous implementation of procurement systems and digital tools Preferably a Degree in Business, Commerce, Procurement, Law or related discipline. Strong analytical and commercial acumen Experience with AI and Digital Transformation You will have strong influencing skills and exceptional attention to detail, whilst being an effective communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and internal/external customers as well as suppliers.
