Quality Assurance Assistant

Our hallmark Harmony brand is ethically and sustainably farmed and packaged. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant for a full-time role in Islington, Christchurch. Reporting to our QA Manager in Auckland, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Company’s quality compliance systems, while working with individuals and teams to ensure best practice is followed for food safety and quality. The role scope also includes a twice-yearly visit to our Queenstown site. Responsibilities Daily walk-throughs to complete checks, documentation and work with staff to meet quality obligations Investigate complaints, non-conformances and implement corrective actions as required Help with GMP audits and reporting Collect and cook samples at end of shelf life, arrange lab testing and environmental swabbing Support a culture of continuous improvement where staff are committed to taking positive action Requirements Knowledge and experience in food safety and quality operations for a food manufacturing site Knowledge and experience with halal food practices and BRC standard training would be beneficial Computer, systems and report writing skills Self-motivated with proven organisational skills Ability to communicate and influence staff at all levels Neat Meat has an awesome company culture with family values and a loyal team.
