Senior Data and BI Specialist

Find Recruitment – Wellington, North Island Organisation and role My client is seeking a high-calibre senior data and BI specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a great all-round data role - you would become the go-to-person for anything data related in the organisation, as they undertake significant technical change. Duties for the role include, but are not limited to: Gaining and understanding of the flow of data within the organisation Gathering requirements from across the organisation on their data needs Building and maintaining dashboards/reports in PowerBI Implementation of data governance principles and frameworks Building and maintaining data pipelines Ad-hoc duties The ideal candidate will have experience in the following: It is crucial this person has strong experience in broad roles within small-medium sized organisations, and the ability to work quite autonomously. Strong communication skills required - this person needs to be able to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders from across the organisation, and with their data vendor. Experience in Microsoft data tools and the wider Microsoft suite required (D365, PowerBI, Azure Modern Data Platforms and other data tools). Strong SQL coding experience required. Reporting and data visualisation experience required. Experience implementing a data governance frameworks required. Experience utilising AI and AI tools in this space required. ETL/ELT pipeline building experience preferred, but not required.
