About the company This nationally represented, leading franchise organisation is a provider of construction equipment solutions, offering sales, service, and repairs across a wide range of heavy machinery. They are committed to delivering high-quality service and ensuring equipment operates at peak performance. Due to continued growth, they are seeking experienced and skilled Diesel Mechanics to join their teams. The role You will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing construction equipment, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable, and operational. Key responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy construction equipment Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on diesel engines and related components Inspect and test machinery to identify potential issues and ensure proper functionality Utilise diagnostic tools and software to determine equipment faults Conduct repairs on hydraulic systems, transmissions, and fuel injection systems Maintain accurate service records and reports Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations Work collaboratively with team members to ensure equipment availability Provide recommendations for repairs and preventative maintenance schedules Skills required Preference is for Diesel Mechanics with proven experience on construction or earthmoving equipment, however, candidates with mining or forestry equipment backgrounds will also be considered Relevant automotive trade qualification Minimum 3 years of relevant hands‑on experience WTR endorsement and HT licence advantageous Sound customer service skills Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy machinery Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Proficiency using diagnostic tools and repair equipment Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks The rewards Competitive salary and benefits package including health insurance, overtime, and tool allowance Ongoing training and career development opportunities within the wider group Supportive and dynamic working environment Opportunity to work with industry-leading equipment and technology #J-18808-Ljbffr
