About theRole The Murchison Community Hospital and HealthCentre provides an integrated service of Primary Health, In Patient andPRIME care. The Health Centre has 5 day a week GP or Nurse Practitioner clinicsalongside daily Registered Nurse clinics. The Hospital has 6 aged care beds and2 flexible beds. The flexible beds allow for assessment and observation,respite, palliative and rehabilitation care. Shifts arerostered and rotating across AM: 0700-1530 ,PM: 1430-2300 , and Night 2245-0715 shifts. About theTeam/Service/ Location Murchison isa rural service town, with a permanent population of approximately 1100,located halfway between Nelson and Westport (1.5 hours travel in eitherdirection). During the summer Murchison becomes a destination for holidaymakers seeking the great outdoors. Activities on offer include great fishing,rafting, walking, white water kayaking, jet boating and mountain biking.
