Mount Tabor is a community of 28 Core People, Sleep over and day support, community leaders, whanau and friends. The Trust was established to deliver a ‘community model’ of living, and much effort goes into encouraging mutuality in relationships and shared ownership for the life of our core people. Mutual support during fun as well as tough times is part of what we do. We are looking for a new Community Support Person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our Core people on a part-time or casual basis. This particular role is for Permanent Part time and Casual shifts, but may lead to a fulltime position. You need to be Willing to work all shifts and Weekends Flexible with your time and days of work. Experienced and have an understanding of disabilities. Be proactive, passionate about what you do, with a can-do attitude. The holder of a Full Driving License, this is essential. Level 4 preferred. Daily duties may include but are not limited to: Ensure that all daily needs of the Core People are being met. Respect the emotional and physical safety of the Core People Support the forming and maintaining of friendships within and outside Mount Tabor Community. Health requirements are met. Work within a team in all aspects of the organization's practice where needed. Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Understanding and working with the principles of Enabling Good Live’s Skills: Knowledge of Enabling Good lives principles and how these apply. Excellent interpersonal skills with a confident, respectful and effective communication style. Pronounced People skills always seeking opportunities to improve Core People’s lives.
