We are seeking an experienced Health Services Manager to lead clinical and operational performance at Ranfurly Hospital. The hospital provides hospital and rest home care across 60 modern care suites, each with a private ensuite, alongside tastefully designed lounges, dining rooms and activity spaces. It also offers respite, rehabilitation, palliative and hospice care, reflecting a broad and responsive model of support for residents and families. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can bring strong clinical oversight, commercial awareness and a clear focus on resident experience. You will play a key role in shaping clinical excellence, supporting a capable and committed team, and ensuring residents and whānau experience confidence, warmth and professionalism every day. About the role Key responsibilities include: Lead the day-to-day clinical and operational performance of the hospital, ensuring safe, high-quality and resident-centred care. Drive occupancy and care suite sales, including managing enquiries, admissions and referral relationships. Lead, mentor and support the clinical team, building a positive culture focused on accountability, quality and continuous improvement. Oversee hospital operations across clinical, hospitality and support services to ensure residents experience a well-run, welcoming environment. Manage budget performance, financial outcomes and resource planning across the hospital. Ensure care planning and service delivery remain resident-focused, well-coordinated and aligned with current aged care standards and best practice. Work closely with the Ranfurly Village team to support resident transfers into hospital care as needs change, ensuring a smooth and respectful transition for residents. Support a culture of quality and continuous improvement, with strong systems, good oversight and confidence across audits and accreditation processes. Promote a safe, well-prepared environment for residents, visitors and staff, including strong oversight of infection prevention and emergency response. Build trusted relationships with residents, whānau, clinicians, referral partners and external stakeholders. About you We are looking for a confident and capable senior clinical leader with the judgement to manage a complex care environment and the presence to build trust with residents, whānau, staff and stakeholders. Ideally, you will bring: Demonstrated senior leadership experience in aged care, hospital or health services management, with the ability to lead confidently in a complex care environment. A proven ability to lead, develop and retain high-performing multidisciplinary teams, with a leadership style that is both supportive and accountable. A strong understanding of aged care quality, compliance and operational standards, with the ability to maintain confidence across audits, accreditation and service delivery. Strong commercial and operational capability, including financial oversight, resource planning and a practical understanding of occupancy drivers. Well-developed communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with residents, whānau, clinicians, referral partners and senior stakeholders. The ability to think strategically while remaining visible and effective in the day-to-day leadership of the hospital. A genuine commitment to resident-centred care, professional standards and continuous improvement. Strong judgement, sound decision-making and confidence using systems, reporting and data to guide performance and service outcomes.
