Assistant Accountant

Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant and looking for a new opportunity? We’re looking for a confident, friendly team member with strong communication and accounting skills to work in our Shared Services Finance team. You’ll thrive on busy days and be able to prioritise responsibilities as you’ll be involved in the financial transactions and reporting of multiple entities. You’ll have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to identify areas of improvement. This is a full-time (Monday to Friday), permanent role based in Masterton. We are a busy, supportive, and fun team who are committed to on-time and accurate reporting. Our ideal candidate will have: Previous proven experience in preparing journal entries and financial statements to a draft stage Completed tertiary education in Accounting or Commerce, or studying towards; and/or previous experience within a finance team environment, having gained a fundamental understanding of accounting principles Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
