The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Site Manager to lead our Production and Warehouse teams (approximately 18-20 people) at our Christchurch site. You'll provide day-to-day leadership, engagement, and direction across manufacturing and warehousing operations, ensuring the team hits its operational performance goals while keeping safety and quality front and centre. What You'll Be Doing Leading and managing the day-to-day activities of the Production and Warehouse teams Championing a strong safety and quality culture across the site Driving continuous improvement — refining processes and reducing waste Managing costs and site budgets effectively Identifying training and development opportunities for your team Engaging, motivating, and inspiring staff to perform at their best Providing clear daily direction, planning, and communication to keep operations running smoothly Reporting on site performance to the NZPG GM of Manufacturing What We're Looking For Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment A genuine continuous improvement mindset A strong, demonstrated commitment to safety and quality The ability to inspire, motivate, and get the best out of a team Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills Experience in stainless product fabrication/manufacturing or distribution is advantageous A manufacturing or engineering qualification is advantageous Why Join Mercer / NZ Panels Group?
