Clinical Nurse Specialist - Colposcopy Gynaecology Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern – Christchurch, South Island 0.6FTE (3 days/24 hoursa week), Permanent Role Gynae OutpatientServices: Colposcopy, Christchurch Women's Hospital Monday to Friday, 8:30am- 5pm Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in theprinciples of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is dedicated to serving all NewZealanders. About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical NurseSpecialist (CNS) who has a passion for women's health and will enjoy carryingout the role alongside our current CNS and Lead Colposcopy Nurse for theservice. Supporting the rest of the clinical team in colposcopy,facilitating clinics, triaging referrals, managing and supporting patients toattend their appointments, attending multidisciplinary meetings (MDMs),facilitating care pathways and collaborating with primary cervical screeningprogrammes, are all key functions of the role. There will also be aspectsof this role to assist the widerGynaecology Outpatients Services, including hysteroscopy clinics that sitwithin the Colposcopy department as well as potentially other gynaecology basedclinics based on service need. You will be part of a team who is highly motivated toprovide an excellent standard of care that is patient centric, and that whichis designed to reduce inequity and meet the needs of our community. About the Service Our Colposcopy and Hysteroscopy Service at ChristchurchWomen's Hospital provides care to over 5000 women a year. We fall under theNational Cervical Screening Programme and are an integral service providingassessment and treatment within the national guidelines. Our GynaecologyOutpatients covers a range of sub-speciality clinics including but not limitedto, pre and post-op gynaecology surgery, gynaecology oncology, molar pregnancy,fertility, endocrine, pelvic pain, endometriosis, uro-gynaecology and generalgynaecology. About You This is a wonderful opportunity for a nurse wanting to growand develop a service that is passionate about women's health. You will beworking alongside a lead doctor, nurse practitioners and other CNS's to lead amultidisciplinary team, providing colposcopy and hysteroscopy services. Youwill also collaborate with members of our senior nursing and management teamsto develop and improve care delivery across the service. You will be expectedto collaborate with community providers such as cervical screening and ourKaupapa Māori providers to help improve access and reduce inequities in women'shealth. An experiencedregistered nurse with knowledge and skills in gynaecology, with preferablyexperience in colposcopy and hysteroscopy. Currently hold or beworking towards a relevant post graduate qualification in nursing. Proven leadershipskills, with the ability to be a specialist resource nurse for patients,and other clinicians. Knowledge and experiencein quality and change management Has a passion forWomen's Health and have a comprehensive understanding of the healthinequities that exist in women's health, with a will to mitigate these. Motivated, adaptable,flexible, and solution focussed.
