Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for you! We're looking for a Content Designer / UX Writer to research, design, and implement customer-centric content for our digital channels. The role has a focus on our apps and internet banking platforms. In the UX Content Team, it's our job to be the voice of the customer. That means designing clear pathways to information, producing seamless micro-copy and flows, increasing digital activation and usage, and championing user research to make informed decisions. We work flexibly and wellbeing is a priority at BNZ - We look after each other, both in the bank and in the UX Content team, and you can always bring your whole self to work. We sat down with the UX Content Director (Who you'll report to) and they told us the following about the role. This is a full time, 12-month fixed term opportunity based in Wellington. This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Working closely with UX Designers, UX Researchers, Product Managers, and development teams to craft clear, accessible, digital experiences. Attending project planning meetings and discovery workshops with stakeholders and wider team members. Contributing to our content guidelines, processes, and design system. Translating insights from user research and analytics into content solutions. Editing and collaborating on content with team members. What is the team culture and environment like? The two most important ingredients are fun and passion - we're a tight-knit crew who love the work we do. We enjoy each other's company, and share lots of coffees, laughs, and Stuff quizzes. What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year? This is an exciting time for the UX Content team. We've got a strong foundation and the next couple of years will be about building out our digital experiences and capabilities. You'll be working on fresh projects to help deliver industry-leading digital experiences. What attributes will you need to be successful in this role? The ability to think strategically about content, from an individual digital screen through to a systems level. Expertise and experience in writing clear, concise micro-copy for digital channels. A deep understanding of UX design and content principles, and best practices. Excellent stakeholder communication and management skills. An understanding of accessibility for digital channels. Experience working with designers, researchers, and developers. Being passionate about words and content strategy is a must!
