About the Role As a Simulation Technician, you will work under the guidanceof the Simulation Lead for Health NZ Te Whatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury to supportthe setup, operation, and maintenance of simulation-based education andclinical skills training programmes. These take place both in the Centre andacross the Waitaha Canterbury health system through our in-situ simulationprogramme. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery ofhigh-quality education experiences using advanced simulation and audiovisualtechnology. This includes setting up simulation environments, managingtechnical and IT requirements, supporting educators and learners, andmaintaining our high-end manikins and AV systems. Key Responsibilities Simulation & IT Support Operateand maintain complex simulation equipment and manikins Setup, configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot AV and IT systems Captureand manage simulation recordings using B-Line software Updatesimulation software and maintain IT systems in collaboration with Ara andTe Whatu Ora Maintainan equipment and IT asset database, including repairs and calibrationschedules Utilisee-room booking and iProcurement systems Updatethe Manawa website with course and resource information Ensureall clinical supplies and consumables are prepared and available Orderand manage stock, including tracking and rotation Maintaina clean, safe, and professional training environment Providetechnical support and guidance to educators, including those new tosimulation Attendand contribute to simulation team meetings Liaisewith external agencies for equipment loans or demos Actas a floor warden in emergencies Workclosely with Ara and Te Whatu Ora staff to support programme delivery Provideinput on the development and improvement of simulation scenarios andequipment Participatein ongoing quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives About You Atertiary qualification in health, IT, or a related field 1'2years' experience in healthcare, technical support, or educationalservices StrongIT skills with the ability to learn new software and systems independently Confidentoperating and troubleshooting AV and simulation technologies Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills CurrentNZ driver's licence Flexibleand reliable, able to support early morning, evening or weekend sessionsas needed Abilityto work both independently and as part of a collaborative team Experiencewith audiovisual and recording systems Backgroundin simulation training or education delivery Familiaritywith clinical products and healthcare simulation environments Why Join Us?
