Production Steel Welder | 4 Day Week | Temp to Perm Production Welder | Temp to Perm Opportunity | 4 Day Week | Afternoon/Night Shift We are currently seeking a Production Welder for a temp‑to‑permanent opportunity with a well‑established manufacturing company based in Hornby South. This role is focused on the production welding of steel gates and components. It is suited to someone who enjoys consistent, hands‑on work, takes pride in producing quality products, and is comfortable working within a structured manufacturing environment. The work can be repetitive at times, so we are looking for someone who is reliable, safety‑focused, comfortable following processes, and enjoys being part of a team. Previous welding experience is preferred; however, a welding qualification is not required. We are open to candidates with strong mechanical ability, a willingness to learn, and the right attitude, with training provided onsite. The Role: Production welding of steel gates and steel components Fabricating and assembling products to meet quality standards Following job instructions, drawings, and production processes Completing consistent welding work within a manufacturing environment Using welding equipment and hand tools safely Inspecting finished products to ensure quality requirements are met Maintaining a clean and organised work area Working alongside a supportive production team to meet daily targets What We Are Looking For: Previous welding experience is preferred but not essential Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or hands‑on production environments is advantageous Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to follow instructions and work accurately Comfortable completing repetitive production tasks Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic Strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork Location: Hornby South Hours: Monday to Thursday, 4:00pm - 2:30am Hours per week: 40 hours Start: Immediate start available Pay rate: $27.76 per hour + 8% holiday pay Employment type: Temp‑to‑perm opportunity Pay increases available once you transition permanently Please note: This role is not suitable for Working Holiday Visa holders.
