Our residential service in Rolleston is seeking a passionate, assertive, confident, and compassionate Support Worker to join our bespoke service, supporting tangata whaiora with autistic spectrum disorder. Key Responsibilities: Establish a rapport with tangata whaiora and their whānau Provide day-to-day support in alignment with tangata whaiora goals and support plans, including risk management and safety plans Work with tangata whaiora to identify significant goals, providing encouragement and support to achieve them Attend and contribute to team meetings, sharing ideas and updating others on activities Ensure all incidents are documented appropriately To be successful in this role, you will need: NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing - Level 4 or be able to demonstrate your current plans to achieve this mandatory requirement Preferably, experience with autism and sensory issues, though a can-do attitude and empathy are essential Ability to collaborate with mental health professionals and our team Flexibility to work variable hours Commitment to recovery values Advanced communication and interpersonal skills Eligibility to work in New Zealand and a current full driver's licence (essential) Hold and maintain First Aid certification including CPR or be willing and able to complete this Hourly Rate $25.67 - $30.52 Learning, development, and training opportunities A supportive manager, and a team who celebrates success Discounted health insurance through Southern Cross Health #J-18808-Ljbffr
