Right now, SBS is in the middle of an exciting transformation. They're building a new digital banking platform and need someone to keep their existing members engaged along the way. The Role This is a full-time, fixed-term salaried position, working 37.5 hours per week until December 2027. The role is based on-site in Invercargill, Southland. The role sits at the intersection of member engagement, digital transformation, and direct marketing. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact. You'll be responsible for delivering the communications strategy that supports members through an exciting and transformational time for SBS Bank. Your mission? Get members informed, engaged, and ready to embrace the future of banking. You'll work closely with an outreach team, manage multi-channel campaigns, and build communication plans that make change feel simple, clear, and supportive. This isn't just about writing emails. It's about improving data quality, increasing contactability, supporting the member experience, and using insights to refine your approach as you go. Key Responsibilities Include Developing and delivering member communications and engagement activity across traditional and digital channels Building lifecycle and retention programmes to ensure communications are relevant and timely across the customer journey Supporting our frontline teams (call centre, branches) to engage effectively with members Monitoring performance metrics and member feedback to continuously improve engagement Collaborating with project stakeholders, senior leaders, and external agencies to ensure we're engaging with members effectively Improving member contactability and data quality to support targeted, relevant communications What Is Essential For The Role Minimum 5 years' experience in direct marketing, customer communications, or engagement. Experience managing multi-channel campaigns. Strong stakeholder management skills. Strong written communication skills. Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). What Is Desirable For The Role Project management experience. Financial services experience. Lifecycle marketing experience. CRM platform experience.
