Job Description

Have you got a competitive streak a mile wide? Medsalv was started in 2017 to combat environmental and financial waste in the health system, in a way that creates jobs for people with barriers to employment. Since then we have successfully started to change the face of New Zealand healthcare. We’re now helping over 90% of New Zealand’s hospitals make a positive impact on the planet while they care for their patients. We’re constantly pursuing growth, adding new medical devices to our product lines and, recently, opening a new plant in Australia. Our Vision is for a sustainable health system that keeps the planet healthy while caring for the people on it. We’re helping hospitals deliver this by remanufacturing single-use medical devices so they can be used again and avoid landfill. This both reduces the landfill waste and carbon emissions, as well as the actual costs - meaning more people get access to healthcare as a result of our work - and the planet benefits too. This role is best for Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student, who will join our Research and Development team over the 2026/2027 summer.
