Radiola Land Systems Limited is looking for an Electronics Support Technician to support our public transport digital technology systems across New Zealand. This role would suit someone with practical electronics, fault-finding, field service, workshop, or public transport technology experience. We are open to either full-time or part-time arrangements for the right person. About Radiola Land Systems Radiola Land Systems Limited provides SaaS solutions for real-time passenger information, along with supporting on-vehicle and on-street solutions, including On-Board Announcement Systems and digital signage, specifically solar ePaper solutions. We provide real-time information to councils and the public across the country. You will be joining a small New Zealand owned and operated company supporting New Zealanders. About the Role The Electronics Support Technician will help maintain, support, test, repair and troubleshoot public transport hardware systems. The role will include a mix of workshop work, technical support, customer and contractor coordination, documentation, and occasional field or site work. You will work with our internal team, customers, contractors, and suppliers to keep systems operating reliably and ensure faults are investigated, documented, and resolved. Key Responsibilities Provide practical technical support for public transport hardware systems. Fault-find, test and support equipment such as passenger information displays, ePaper and LCD signage, and on-vehicle announcement and information systems. Investigate customer and contractor support tickets. Coordinate fault resolution with contractors and suppliers. Maintain accurate records of faults, repairs, RMAs, spares and replacement units. Manage dispatch and receipt of replacement equipment. Keep the workshop organised, safe and functional. Carry out bench testing, configuration checks and basic electronics diagnostics. Support maintenance contract work and ensure work is completed and documented. Assist with site visits, installation checks and system investigations where required. Provide clear technical updates to internal staff, customers and contractors. Follow Radiola's health and safety requirements and safe work practices. Assist with general technical duties from time to time. Skills and Experience We are looking for someone with some or all of the following: Practical electronics fault-finding experience. Ability to read wiring diagrams, equipment manuals and technical documentation. Experience with low-voltage DC systems. Good computer skills and confidence working with connected devices. Clear written communication and accurate record keeping. Ability to work through faults logically and document findings. Experience working with contractors, suppliers or customers. A tidy and organised approach to workshop and spares management. Full New Zealand driver licence. Useful but Not Essential Experience with any of the following would be useful: Public transport technology Vehicle-mounted electronics Digital signage Solar-powered electronics ePaper signage GNSS/GPS tracking systems Linux-based devices Ethernet and basic networking Ticketing/helpdesk systems such as Freshdesk Field service or installation support Personal Attributes The right person will be: practical and hands-on calm under pressure clear and professional with customers and contractors reliable with documentation and follow-up comfortable working independently when needed willing to learn our systems focused on keeping equipment working in the real world Employment Type Full-time or part-time considered. We are open to discussing hours for the right candidate, including a reduced-hours role if the person has the right practical skills and availability. Location and Eligibility This role is based in Mana, Porirua. Applicants must be Wellington based and have full rights to work in New Zealand.
