Job Description

IT & Technology Manager - AI Job Ad | Full-Time | Fully Remote or Hybrid (2 days/week in our Auckland office) We're not a family. We're a sports team. We recruit A-players, coach them hard, and back them to win. If you're chasing comfort and consensus, this isn't your team. If you want to operate at the level you know you're capable of -- with the mandate, the resources and the leadership backing to actually do it -- keep reading. The Professional Builder (TPB) is one of the fastest-growing coaching businesses in the industry -- built on a proven model refined over 20+ years, backed by the largest volume of client success stories in our space, and led by a founder whose book is a bestseller in the category. We're expanding into new overseas territories right now, and that growth is throwing up the kind of technology, security and compliance problems that only come with real scale. We need someone who's already solved these problems once and is ready to do it again -- this time as the number one, not the 2IC. 1. What You'll Own The whole function. Full, end-to-end ownership of technology, security and international compliance -- this is the top seat, not a support role. A global team. Lead and coach our technology team across multiple time zones, with a clear mandate to build capability that outlasts you. A seat at the table. Work side by side with senior leadership on strategy -- your input shapes decisions, it doesn't just execute them. The P&L. Real leadership over the P&L components of your function -- this is a commercial role as much as a technical one. Risk, before it lands. Day-to-day security, compliance and strategy across NZ, AU and every new territory we move into -- anticipating what scale breaks next, not reacting to it. Company-wide AI adoption. Set the direction, the guardrails and the priority use cases for AI across the entire business. 2. Why TPB Real growth, right now. We're actively expanding into new overseas territories -- this isn't a five-year roadmap, it's happening. A+ players only. You'll be operating alongside people who are hungry to win, at a level most companies never reach. Company-wide AI adoption -- you'll be the one setting the standard, not following someone else's. Best Places to Work finalist -- recognised, not self-proclaimed. World-class training and resources , plus a free Audible account. Genuine professional development , built into how the business runs. Flexible base -- fully remote, or 2 days a week in our Auckland office. Health & fitness culture we actually back. Annual travel as part of the role. A proven model -- 20+ years of experience, the largest volume of client success stories in the industry, and a bestselling book behind the method. 3. What We're Looking For You've been the #1 (or the standout 2IC ready to become #1) of a technology function at a fast-growing NZ or AU company. Strong track record in an IT Manager role or above, ideally at a scale that mirrors ours. You've done this before for a fully remote, online company on a genuine growth curve -- you know what breaks at scale before it breaks. Fluent in the practical side of security, compliance and AI -- not just the theory, the execution. Confident across NIST CSF and CIS Security Controls; Google Cloud Suite experience expected. CISM, CISSP, CRISC or CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) strongly preferred. A hands-on operator who leads from the front -- this is a doing role at a senior level, not a directing-only one. Coaching, education or professional-services industry experience is a strong plus. 4. The Package Performance Bonuses Included with salary Perks Free Audible account, world-class training and tech resources Travel Annual travel as part of the role Access Genuine seat alongside senior leadership Location Fully remote or hybrid (2 days/week in our Auckland office) Ready to be the number one? #J-18808-Ljbffr
