WOF Inspector / Automotive Technician

Papanui tyre and auto - Christchurch, South Island You will be working across WOF inspections, tyre fitting, general servicing, and both minor and major mechanical repairs, while occasionally providing customer support. To thrive here, you need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities, and possessing a \"roll-up-your-sleeves\" attitude to help out wherever the team needs it. Key Responsibilities What you'll be doing Carry WOF inspections in accordance with NZTA regulations Maintaining accurate inspection documentation accurately Communicate inspection results professionally with customers Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment Scheduling and managing workshop appointments and bookings Assisting with other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the workshop Tyre fitting ,balace and Repairs across a wide range of vehicle makes and models What we're looking for Must have the current WOF authority with at least 1 years experience or less Previous experience as a similar role or Automotive Technician Qualified Automotive Technician (Trade Certified or equivalent) Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service Strong technical knowledge with excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence What we offer At Papanui tyre and auto', we are committed to supporting the professional development and personal well-being of our employees.
