The wider team includes a team of 3 Solicitors, an established Legal Executive, and a robust, dedicated support framework of administrative and PA staff. You will report directly to two Private Client Partners who head up the team: Partner 1: An incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, and engaging leader with a lovely, collaborative disposition. Partner 2: An outgoing, high-energy, and client-facing partner focused on premium delivery. Note: This role has become available due to a successful firm merger alongside a current Legal Executive relocating out of the region to be closer to family. Key Responsibilities & Scope Our client is looking to shape this position into a long-term Legal Executive pathway. You will manage a varied, mixed diet of files under supportive supervision, gaining deep exposure to broader private client law and estate administration. Full training will be given. Depending on your specific interests and available work, the scope of the role can flex, but typically includes: Managing and drafting a broad range of Private Client documentation, including Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPOAs), and family asset structures. Assisting heavily with Estate Management, including preparing probate applications, managing asset distributions, and administering estates from start to finish. Coordinating file progression efficiently utilizing LEAP software. Handling residential property transactions and financing. Liaising directly with private clients, providing a down-to-earth, empathetic, and highly professional experience. Proactively using initiative to manage deadlines while remaining flexible to support the wider team. Candidate Profile & Core Attributes The firm is completely dedicated to training, mentoring, and guiding the successful candidate through their initial onboarding phase. They are highly enthusiastic about growing a promising junior professional into a comprehensive Private Client specialist. Ideal Qualifications & Traits: Education: Completed or near completion of the New Zealand Law Society Legal Executive Diploma. Attributes: A down-to-earth, sensible approach with strong common sense. Work Ethic: Proactive, willing to use initiative, and possesses a collaborative "team-first" attitude. Skills: Excellent communication skills and a desire to build long-term relationships with private clients.
