Project Engineer (Structures) - Te Pae o Tararua - Ōtaki to North of Levin About the Project The Te Pae o Tararua (Ō2NL) highway will dramatically improve safety, resilience, and efficiency, while increasing transport choices for a growing population. The project is being delivered in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga, and Horowhenua District Council. This is a transformative infrastructure project being delivered using a two-alliance model. We're looking for great people to join us on this unique journey. About the Role We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Structures team. The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring the effective coordination and control of engineering works through the activities of technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement and quality control. Co-ordinate with Managers and Superintendents on Engineering, temporary works, scheduling and status of the project. Control fabrication and field construction engineering and schedules for overall programs. Monitor and co-ordinate the preparation maintenance and change of construction schedules, methods, manning charts, and equipment requirements. Advise on actions to be taken to prevent or improve undesirable trends in progress. Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel. Provide general technical assistance to supervisory personnel. About You Tertiary qualification in construction/civil engineering. A minimum of five years civil engineering experience in the construction industry. Must have civil infrastructure experience Specialist experience in project engineering and a working knowledge of project management. Competent in planning and organising work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver to timelines. Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same.
