What You'll Actually Be Doing You'll own the diagnosis and resolution of complex mechanical and controls problems across large commercial buildings. That means: Chillers — centrifugal, screw, scroll. You will need to know your refrigeration stuff, really understand what's going on inside the system and fix it, so it stays fixed. Air Handling Units — VAV, mixed-air, energy recovery. You can read an air balance report and know immediately what's wrong with it. Package units and rooftop systems across multi-zone commercial applications. Building Automation & Controls — you're not just comfortable with BMS, you can navigate multiple platforms, interpret sequences of operation, and rewrite a control sequence when it's garbage. Hydronic systems, cooling towers, heat exchangers, variable flow pumping — the full picture. Who You Are You have 8–15+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC experience, and the depth to match the years. You understand how buildings breathe — the relationship between mechanical, electrical, and controls isn't abstract to you, it's just how systems work.
